What Are You Going to Create?
An Island is a place where users gather to share their interests and passions. Inside it, you will find content related to the topic of your Island. You will define the topic and set the rules that must be followed when publishing within it.
When creating your Island, the setup screen will depend on its topic. Fill it out carefully and ensure that all required fields are completed correctly:
- Name: It must align with the topic of your Island. You won’t be able to change it in the future. Waveful will suggest a name for your Island, but if you don’t like it, you can modify it.
- Tags: Choose relevant tags for your Island. Feel free to pick those that best match its theme.
- Island Picture: Select an image that perfectly represents your Island’s name and theme.
- Description: Clearly express the values of your Island and describe what users can find within it. Waveful will suggest a description, but if you don’t like it, you can edit it.
Once you've completed these steps, simply press the "Create" button at the bottom center. Congratulations, you’ve just created your Island!
The Perfect Island
Now you’re ready to manage your own Island. The perfect Island has a strong identity shaped by its Creator, who inspires members to engage and embrace its values. If you’re passionate about engines, for example, you’re the ideal person to create an Island dedicated to motorsports and everything related.
Our advice? Build an Island around a topic you truly care about something you can lead and grow over time.
Encourage interaction and become the most active member of your Island. Invite users to join and post, ensuring that all content remains relevant. If necessary, remove off-topic posts. You can also boost engagement by launching Island challenges use them wisely to increase your Island’s popularity.
Don’t leave your Island abandoned! If you’re unable to manage it for a while, make sure to assign an administrator a trusted user who shares your passion (for example, someone who loves engines as much as you do) and can take over in your absence.
